Bodh @ TLC-Pune

2005-2025: TLC - Teaching Learning Community and its founder, Rajendra Bagwe Sir, have been on a 20-year journey. TLC is a community, a movement, and a laboratory where business owners learn business concepts, implement them, and measure the results.
I had attended their Kolhapur events last month & wrote about it (https://lnkd.in/dziYx64f). It was Pune's turn on 17th Feb.
The Bodh event had a fantastic trio of speakers (Arun Shiroor of DelVal Flow Controls, Dr. Tushar Mehendale of ElectroMech and Indraneel Chitale of Chitale Bandhu).
Mr Shiroor, a 68-year-old entrepreneur, talked about his drive, ambitions and struggles during his journey to build Delval. He is not yet ready to hang his boots and aspires to phenomenal growth because he knows the market is too big.
Dr. Tushar is almost a first-generation entrepreneur who focuses on customers rather than competitors. His story of facing the mighty Tata Projects head-on at an early stage of his entrepreneurial journey was inspiring. Today, he is so confident about the quality of his products that he stands below a loaded crane when it's being tested. (See photo)
Last but not least, Indraneel from Chitale Bandhu. This young, 4th generation entrepreneur stole the maximum applause. I loved his clarity of thought and blend of tradition with modernity.
He explained the strategy behind their distribution model (they have more than 150 stores across India, the US, Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East), choice of products and pricing (he said they are not a Chakna brand 😀), and how their control on the milk and allied products supply chain helps them maintain their quality.
He touched upon their thought process behind choosing Sachin as their brand ambassador. When asked the one thing he will attribute his success to, his answer was "𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞". That won my heart.
Bodh helps TLC members open their minds to bigger ideas and aspire to the 10X target their mentor pushes them to achieve.
The Gaurav event is about felicitating business owners who learn various business concepts during the year, implement them successfully, and showcase good results. A team of TLC Auditors assesses this rigorously, and based on the marks earned, the winners are selected.
The "Gaurav" event showcased SME Owners' artistic talents. It was evident from the performances that Pune is Maharashtra's cultural capital. 🙂
